I just recently finished this series for the second time around and I actually don’t know how to start with this article. So I tried to search for some notable quotes and I found this one:

“A gentleman in public, and a master in a bedroom”.

Very Grey.., So Christian Grey. Who would have thought that a guy like him hold a very deep secret. He was even accused as gay.. which was really funny because if they would only know what he really do, they might get shocked.

I’m familiar with the term Sadist and Masochist, but not the full content or concept of it and I wasn’t aware of BDSM (bondage, dominance and submission, sadomasochism). At first I was just curious of these books because my friends says they were about a sadist and masochist and too erotic. Never thought that such things (BDSM) exist this world. Well, later on I found out that there were even porns like that… I’m not fond of those by the way.

Can LOVE cure the fucked up personality of the hot-rich-almost perfect-bachelor Christian Grey? Can Anastasia Rose Steele beat the demons in Christian’s past?

To be honest aside from his fuckedupness personality, he’s like my ideal man. He’s romantic, though he always assume that he’s not. He’s protective, well overly protective in fact… but that can be argued and conform. Gorgeous, hot, rich, oozing with so much sex appeal and most importantly: Monogamous. That’s it! can you ask for more?

This story touch not only my romantic side but my entire personality. It made squirm, giggle and swoon over the two lovers. It made me hot over those erotic scenes. Honestly, this is the only one erotic novel which I didn’t get bored with the love scenes. I just usually scan they love content if they became repetitive but here it gives some much info that love can be shown in so many ways… too many ways…hahaha. It made me cry over those sad moments… moments where Grey feels that he’s the worst person in the world. And made me hope, whenever both of them struggle to be better, to be the best for each other. And it also made me hate those extra girls… specially that child molesting old hag… I really hate her.

I always remember this line from Grey:

I can’t bear to hurt you, because I love you.

OMG!! for the start of the second book where Ana left Christian, where if I’m in her place I would do the same thing. Who’s on their right mind that would willingly allow their loved ones to hurt them… fuck!!! Well, finally Grey realized that he really needs Ana ( more than he’s fucked up needs, it’s what I believed). He decided to go with Ana’s way of romance- The vanilla. (Vanilla flavor of sex.. hahahaha). Though both of them are trying their best… there are still lot of struggles they faced… ex-sub-ex-lover-His-nightmare-his-dark-past-. One of the most emotional moment for me is when Grey assumed to be a sub… It really broke my heart, he was so afraid of Ana leaving him again to the extend his traumatic experiences surfaced again (Ouch!!) and he really acted like a sub to cope up ( My poor Grey). Well they work it out. Until they finally got married and sooner that expected Ana got pregnant. Well, I was really disappointed that Christian was mad over the pregnancy though I expected it. For a girl to experience that her pregnancy was not welcomed by her husband… That’s a bit much. Well it’s just that… Christian is Christian…Fucked up mindness… He doesn’t like to share Ana to anyone… and he is afraid that he won’t be a good father to his child (Awwww!!).

The ending was superb… It was more than my expectation. A happy family for Christian and Ana. Nothing I could hope for more.

I super love this novel… I don’t care with those bashes who criticize. Say all you want I don’t care. They keep on saying that this series is just an erotic novel with no substance… It’s just because all you want to know is about the love scenes… you didn’t try to understand and appreciate the depth of the story… It’s your loss not see the beauty of this series.

There’s a motion picture of this novel, not that I hate it… but personally I didn’t quite feel the depth of feelings the characters has in the book to that movie…

Thanks for reading.
